Letters From Lauren: Welcome To The World, Ryker

Earlier this month my husband and I welcomed our first child into our family and today we are introducing him to you, our Take Heart Tribe. We are thrilled to introduce you to our son, Ryker Petersen!

When I transitioned into maternity leave at the end of June, I was touched to receive all of the well-wishes and encouragement. I have been overwhelmed by the love, celebration, and support I have received in sharing these pieces of my journey with you all. Thank you so much for allowing me to share this part of my family and life as I have navigated becoming a mom while also running a business!

I am still on maternity leave and definitely soaking up these sweet moments with my little guy, but I am excited to get back to work in a few weeks. We have great plans for the fall and hopefully, some of you may even get the chance to meet Ryker in person as he will be joining me at the shop when I am there. I am excited that I get the opportunity to bring my child into a work environment that I love and believe in. It is my hope that as Ryker grows, he will value the heart behind what we do at Travel Patterns and that one day he will feel permission to take heart and set out on his own flight.
