How We Home: A Glimpse into our Founder's Eclectic Master Bedroom

Global Eclectic Bedroom Design

If you’ve been following along on Instagram, then you have most likely seen sneak peeks of our pillow collections that will launch later this spring! To prep for the launch, we did a mini photoshoot in my (Lauren’s) home and in this post I’ll be sharing a few images of my master bedroom with you.

The pillow collections are exciting for me personally, because it’s a combination of so many things I’m passionate about - artisanal craft, home design, travel finds, and colorful layers!

A home should be a reflection of the lives lived within its walls.

In our home there is warmth and color, and layers created by items collected slowly over time. Most of the pieces in our home lived another life before they settled here or were collected on our travels, which adds interest and curiosity; every piece has a story to tell.

Before taking the leap to run Travel Patterns full time, I worked as an Interior Designer and Project Manager for more than 10 years. But with a career focused solely on corporate, government, and healthcare design, my creative outlet was through designing my own home spaces where I was free to explore my personal aesthetic.

By introducing pillows to the Travel Patterns product lines my hope is that the collections will be an inspiration to you, and will allow you to add unique pieces to your home that tell a deeper story.

Huge thanks to Meghan Medlen Photography for the beautiful images.

The pillows featured in this post are from our Colotenango and Corte collections.
