Working with weaving cooperatives and designing products based off of traditional textiles, requires a lot of research. There is no better way to learn about textiles than by traveling to the regions where they originate and learning directly from the artisans themselves, which we do as much as possible!

For the times when we’re not traveling to meet with artisans however, our Founder, Lauren, uses textile books for reference over and over again when creating a new collection. She loves discovering the differences, and similarities, that woven textiles have around the world. Each has a unique story about the history of its origins and the hands that create it.
